Über dieses Buch

Pray... Your Victory Awaits was compiled from prayers in the Bible, found in the books of Psalm, Lamentations, Daniel, and Matthew.

As I watched my daughter and other young people around me go off to college, I prayed even more for them and shared prayers and words of encouragement as they navigated their expanded borders away from home. Out of that care and concern this book was birthed.

There is victory in prayer, and no issue is too big or small that God cannot address and defeat. These prayers are from the word of God and are not meant to replace our Bible, which is the ultimate authority in knowing God, who we are and completely living for Him. This is a snapshot that should stir its readers to seek Christ even more and to experience the fullness of Him through His word.

Pray... Your Victory Awaits is for everyone. Our victory can be as tangible as experiencing healing, or as intangible as having peace and renewed hope. Many times people struggle to articulate to God personally through prayer. They are more apt to ask a relative or friend to pray for them. Prayer is communication with God, and the prayers referenced in this book start the dialogue and give you the opportunity to journal your own prayers to God based on your specific needs and issues. Consult your Bible for more of God's word.

Do not be intimidated and believe that you cannot pray. Do not be too busy to pray. Prayer can be thanksgiving to the Lord, a celebration of His greatness and goodness. Prayer changes things, prayer changes us!

"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world""our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" (John 5: 4-5 NKJV)

Shelter in Place
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10 NKJV)
Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.
For you, O God, have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.
I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God:
He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears.
With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful;
With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;
With the pure You will show Yourself pure;
And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.
For You will save the humble people, but will bring down haughty looks.
For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
For by You I can run against a troop,
By my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?
It is God who arms me with strength
And makes my way perfect.
You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip.
The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock!
Let the God of my salvation be exalted.
It is God who avenges me;
He delivers me from my enemies.
Therefore, I will give thanks to You,
O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name.
Amen!
