Many composters, particularly those who are new to the game, are likely to have some misconceptions about what can and cannot be composted. All sorts of items, from printed cardboard, through to citrus peels and poisonous plants are rejected, for any number of reasons (not all of which are valid). Many ideas about what is compostable seem to be passed down through the generations or over the garden fence!
