A silvery moon

Ascends behind the mountain

A sweet sensation.

Lulling me to sleep

The scent of honeysuckle

The last of the storm.

A white cloud of winter

Moves like a snake overhead

Welcoming summer.

On a dull fall day

The ticking of the hall clock

Awakens the birds.

Dry mountains await

The coming of spring flowers

Coloured lines and shades.

A wind approaches

Wrinkling the water surface

Down at the seashore.

In the deep blue sea

Fairy mermaids lure the ships

Power to cast spells.

Totally immersed

You’ve turned my world upside down.

Great Barrier Reef!

The crunch of gravel

Pierces right through to my bones

Drawing me awake.

Trees in the shadow

Surrounded by sands and hills

Appear unyielding.

The widow spider

Makes a silk thimble-shaped web

A great masterpiece.

People and shadows

Cross memory at light speed

Leaving me stranded.

A fire dances

Providing me with relief

In the still moon night.

Watching the dry fields

A gust of wind sweeps over

Right into my face.

Up in the thick hills

Flakes of drizzle calm the place
