Die UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention fordert für den Bereich des Sports weitaus mehr als nur den Zugang von Menschen mit Behinderungen zu Sportstätten und die Möglichkeit ihrer Teilnahme an sportlichen Aktivitäten: Sie sieht vor, dass Menschen mit Behinderungen gleichberechtigt und selbstbestimmt an breitensportlichen und sportverbandlichen Aktivitäten auf allen Ebenen teilhaben und ihr Mitspracherecht auch bei der Gestaltung von Sportpolitik und inklusiver Sportangebote geltend machen können. Die Beiträge dieses Buches greifen dieses Thema auf und beleuchten es zum einen aus dem Blickwinkel unterschiedlicher wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen und zum anderen vor dem Hintergrund von Wirklichkeiten und Visionen in Politik und Praxisfeldern.
