Annunziata Pignataro ù nata a Oppido Mamertina dove risiede. Diplomata all'Istituto Magistrale "Vito Capialbi" di Vibo Valentia, laureata in Materie Letterarie presso la facoltà di Magistero dell'Università di Messina, ha insegnato Lettere nella Scuola media di Oppido Mamertina fino al 2007. Amante dell'arte, coltiva la poesia da sempre con un'attenzione particolare negli ultimi tempi anche alla pittura. Ha pubblicato poco o nulla per naturale riservatezza anche se alla sua opera non sono mancati apprezzabili consensi critici. Le composizioni del presente volumetto sono tratte dalla raccolta "Quaderni di Poesie" comprendente le sillogi poetiche: Armonie, Colloqui, Cuore di Giada, Come Edelweiss, La vita e il sogno, Ecuba di Ritorno, Passi sul selciato, Il silenzio delle parole, Siderno lovely, che l'autrice, fatta eccezione per Colloqui edito da Rubettino – Soveria Mannelli (1985), non ha mai dato alle stampe. Ha partecipato saltuariamente ad iniziative antologiche delle case editrici Libroitaliano e Aletti Editore dalle quali ù stata inserita tra i poeti contemporanei.
