And itā€™s a fact that your body is a reflection of your thoughts, feelings, attitudes and beliefs. And itā€™s also the power of the mind that holds the key to healthy eating, weight loss and maintenance of weight loss. Change

Before we go further to explore the mind techniques and how they can help you change and enhance your life in the way you want it to, I would like to say a few important words about change. Lets face it you are reading this book because you want to change your behaviours, attitudes, beliefs or thoughts that are holding you back. First you donā€™t have to wait until the new year to make resolutions for change, new years resolutions fail to work for people and are often broken because people try to make changes based on a specific date rather than making changes because they are ready for them and want them to take place. Some people try to change for all the wrong reasons, for instance because they are doing it to please someone or having been pushed to change, moreover it is very unlikely to yield any success if youā€™re changing for other people, the desire and drive has to come from within yourself for change to take full positive effect. In other words if you want to lose weight because you want to please someone then youā€™re coming at this from the wrong angle. Itā€™s a good thing to please other people especially the ones you love and care for but you have to please yourself first, lose weight for yourself because of all the healthy benefits this has for you. By putting yourself first and making yourself happy you will make your loved ones happy too because youā€™re happy, healthy, fit and look great. And because the desire comes from within yourself your motivation and rate of success is guaranteed to be very high.
Second, you have to want to change and you have to believe in yourself and your abilities to achieve whatever youā€™re aiming to achieve, if you do that failure will never be an option. If you donā€™t make that decision to change, you will forever be stuck in your own prison and you wonā€™t learn new things. Accept and embrace change, it will make you stronger and open new doors for you. We all struggle in life but you have to make things happen in your life and try as much as you can not to give up, otherwise you will never know how close you were to succeeding!
Third, never make assumptions before even trying, yes change is going to be hard and testing but with determination you will triumph, assumption is always unproductive, damaging and the lowest form of knowledge you will ever come across. So donā€™t assume that you canā€™t do it because you can, donā€™t ever let other people judge you and discourage you, it doesnā€™t matter what you look like, where you come from, your age, disability or whatever it is. Whatever makes you different from anyone else is your uniqueness, you are not meant to look like everyone else. In my understanding no one human being should ever be written off, I believe that given a chance every single one of us can shine and succeed as we are all here to serve a purpose and to solve a problem for one another, for example a doctor is here to heal people, a farmer grows crops and rears animals to feed people, a mechanic looks after your car, the person who works on the till at the supermarket does a tremendous job too, it doesnā€™t matter what job you do however small or less important you think it is, youā€™re special and you change peopleā€™s lives everyday.
To make those changes in your life, you have to work with your subconscious mind, as the quality of your thoughts will affect and shape the quality of your life. To make those changes you have to consider;
ā—‹ What your dreams are as dreams are built on desire and desire pushes you to achieve those dreams.
ā—‹ What are you getting from your achievements-the benefits.
ā—‹ Make that decision to change
ā—‹ Make your decision into a reality
Change is like the earthā€™s seasons, itā€™s endless. We have to align with nature and learn from it as from nature we can truly learn about change and embrace it. Change can be testing, painful, exciting, very slow, fast, rewarding and continuous. Change is constant and part of life, change triggers development and has numerous rewards and can yield immense success.

MIND POWER TECHNIQUES

Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is a simple way of training your mind how to relax so that you can gain access to the subconscious mind and be able to introduce new positive suggestions, statements or affirmations to help you eliminate, improve and overcome blocks, negative thinking, self defeating beliefs and doubts and also create positive changes in your life. For self-hypnosis to be effective, you have to deeply relax and reach a heightened level of concentration and relaxation for the positive suggestions to be implanted into your subconscious mind. In a very deep relaxed state your conscious mind goes to rest or steps aside to give way to your subconscious mind which is responsible for storing everything that you have ever experienced in life, for example feelings, images, sounds, tastes, and smells. When under hypnosis all your senses will remain fully alert throughout the whole process. This is because hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of mind that you can choose to enter anytime you want, as a matter of fact you enter hypnosis everyday without even noticing that youā€™re doing it!
Like any other new skill, you will have to practice self-hypnosis as many times as you can to be able to fully train your mind how to relax and before you know it, you will be reaping the benefits! Hypnosis is;

However, self-hypnosis should not be used by people who suffer from psychosis or other types of personality disorders, are using any form of drugs or alcohol.

As well as helping you to maintain good health and lose weight, self-hypnosis can be applied to many areas of your life as you obtain the ability to talk to your subconscious and there are many benefits to be achieved from practicing hypnosis on your own as it is a powerful mind tool that helps you facilitate change through easy access to the subconscious mind. It easily enables messages to go through the mind and influence your thoughts and actions, in other words your eating and activity habits in a positive way. Its a quick and easy way to teach the mind how to relax so that new suggestions can be introduced thereby reducing, improving and overcoming many negative beliefs and attitudes to create positive changes in your life.
