Agricultural biodiversity, commonly referred to as agrobiodiversity, is a part of biodiversity that is conserved in agricultural habitats and food production landscapes. Adopting a multidimensional approach to their management is essential to increase sustainability of agricultural habitats. This chapter describes the application of food system concept in providing a framework to enable such a multidimensional approach. The chapter outlines the multiple dimensions of food security and places food security in the context of global environment change.
