About This Book

From Cocoon to Butterfly. Through the writings and Scriptures in this book come a story of a young woman who, in her life, overcame many trials and tests. From these experiences came this book. Just as a caterpillar resides in a cocoon and emerges into a beautiful butterfly, so also does our life develop into the image that God has created us to be. As we mature into adulthood, we begin to search and wonder where we belong in this world and what are we to do or become. We are unaware at that time that our path has already been established by the Creator of all things""God. Some of us follow Him early in life and some of us later, but one thing is certain; God never takes His eyes off of His children. Jeremiah 29: 11 and Joshua 1: 9 declared His promises. So the beginning of the process from cocoon to butterfly.

Back to Your Old Ways
You’re going back to your old ways you thought were success
But look at you now, you’re a total mess
The money you had is now all gone
And you keep wondering what went wrong
Where are all of the friends that you had
Well, they are all too busy they say
And don’t have time for you this day
So open your eyes, can’t you see
It’s Jesus you need and only He
Go back to the first day that you came to Him
And remember the joy you had while serving Him
He’s waiting for you, just knock at the door
And renew your relationship with Him forevermore
The Visit
You’ve been waiting patiently for your brother to come
When the two of you are together, there is always fun
You haven’t seen him for at least a year
So you’re waiting anxiously to listen and hear
All of what’s going on in his life
With business, family, and all of his life
He’s the brother you are so happy to have
But when he leaves you, you become sad
The visits are short, just not enough time
And the distance he travels takes some time
But today is the day we will be together
To laugh, to talk, and to ease one another
We are both getting older, you see
So we must take every opportunity
To love, to laugh, and to remember the days
When we were young and our days of play
But soon I’ll see his smile and get a big hug that will last a while
But our days are numbered, it says in God’s Word
So we must love each other and care each day
And don’t throw this precious time away
It’s so important not to let it go, to stay in touch as much as you can
So you both will always understand
You’re brother and sister forever because God said so!
His Time or TV Time
You start your day with me, to be still, to wait, to listen, and to see
What will my Father give to me
Things of joy, things to ponder, things to decide, and things to wonder
How special it is, this time together to fellowship
To understand what waits for you and what’s at hand
It’...
