Menschliche Praxis ist an Ein- und Übersichten orientiert, die mit Sprache, Erziehung und Bildung erworben, in wissenschaftlicher Arbeit auf begriffliche oder schematisch-mathematische Allgemeinheit gebracht, bestĂ€ndig transformiert und weiter tradiert werden. Philosophische Reflexion ist wesentlich kritisch; sie entdeckt und diagnostiziert Ungereimtheiten und SelbsttĂ€uschungen. Ohne sie sind Selbsterkenntnis und Orientierung in unserer wissensbasierten Lebenswelt nicht möglich. Diese Auffassung von Philosophie bestimmt Pirmin Stekeler-Weithofers gesamtes Schaffen.
