The poems included in The Visionaries are inspired by Patsouri's everyday encounters and life situations. A plethora of the poems explore the themes of erotic love, self empowerment, nature, instincts, passions, tenderness, and freedom, but also the geography and pulsation of specific places. Inspiration is additionally taken from Greek mythology, Greek philosophy, and friends of the poet. Each poem tells a different story, but all of them each time conclude with a positive ending or an aphorism. Emotions of euphoria, joy, aliveness, mystery, and sensual healing are evoked by the atmospheric descriptions. Patsouri's poetry is succinct, sensual, and powerful, conveying messages and images in short verses that feel like a dance of words.
