About This Book

Das Werk unterzieht mit Freien evangelischen Gemeinden erstmalig eine gegenwärtig wachsende Kirche einer ausführlichen kirchentheoretischen Untersuchung. Dabei kommen nicht nur historisch-analytische Einsichten, sondern auch empirische Daten zur Geltung. Diese beruhen auf einer im Herbst 2019 durchgeführten Mitgliederbefragung von 1100 Mitgliedern Freier evangelischer Gemeinden. Die Ergebnisse versprechen vertiefte und differenzierte Einsichten in die Besonderheiten des frei-evangelischen Kirchenmodells und bieten damit einen Beitrag zur Diskussion um die Zukunft der Kirche(n). Darüber hinaus wurde die Befragung in Anlehnung an die fünfte Kirchenmitgliedschaftsuntersuchung der EKD konzipiert, sodass die Arbeit auch ertragreiche Vergleiche und Verbindungen zwischen den Kirchenformen sowie interkonfessionelle Anregungen bietet.
