Critias est un des dialogues de Platon. Dans ce dialogue, Critias raconte l'histoire de l'Atlantide Ă  Socrate, affirmant que l'Ăźle a Ă©tĂ© dĂ©crite Ă  ses ancĂȘtres par un prĂȘtre Ă©gyptien. Cependant, en raison de la corruption et de l'orgueil de ses dirigeants, la civilisation de l'Atlantide a Ă©tĂ© punie par les dieux et engloutie sous les eaux de l'ocĂ©an. Le dialogue de Critias est inachevĂ©, et se termine brusquement alors que Socrate demande Ă  Critias de poursuivre son histoire. Platon (428/427 av. J.-C. - 348/347 av. J.-C.) Ă©tait un philosophe et mathĂ©maticien grec de l'AntiquitĂ©, considĂ©rĂ© comme l'un des penseurs les plus influents de l'histoire de la philosophie occidentale. Il Ă©tait un Ă©lĂšve de Socrate et le fondateur de l'AcadĂ©mie de Platon, l'une des premiĂšres institutions d'enseignement supĂ©rieur en Occident. Platon a Ă©crit de nombreux dialogues philosophiques, dans lesquels il utilise la mĂ©thode socratique pour explorer des questions fondamentales de la philosophie, telles que la nature de la rĂ©alitĂ©, de la connaissance, de la justice et de la moralitĂ©.
