About This Book

Ziel dieser Studie ist es, die Ursachen für die Verzögerung des Reisanbaukalenders im Delta und im mittleren Tal des Senegal-Flusses zu ermitteln. Um dies zu erreichen, wurde eine Stichprobe von 197 Erzeugern in fünfzehn Dörfern und Fokusgruppen in sechs Dörfern befragt. Die Analyse dieser Daten ermöglichte eine Charakterisierung der befragten Personen und eine bessere Kenntnis der Sozialstruktur des Untersuchungsgebiets, zudem wurde durch eine Hauptkomponentenanalyse (PCA) die Dimension der Datenbasis reduziert, um die interessierenden Variablen zu synthetisieren und eine ökonometrische Analyse durchführen. Letzteres bestand aus einer binären Logit-Regression, die es ermöglichte, die Hauptursachen für die Verzögerung des Anbaukalenders zu identifizieren.Somit zeigen die Ergebnisse der Analyse, dass die Verfügbarkeit von Inputs (Kredite, Saatgut, Düngemittel, Herbizide, Pestizide) laut den Produzenten die Hauptursache für die Verzögerung des Anbaukalenders darstellen.
