Internet, Email, Communication

Your iPhone has a lot of features that allow you to connect to the internet, browse the web, send and receive emails, share pictures with friends, store addresses and contacts, have video chat conversations with friends and family, as well as make phone calls and send text/sms messages.
To do this, Apple have provided some built in apps; Safari for web browsing, Mail for email and Face Time for video chat.
You also have apps for social media, and an address book to keep track of contacts addresses and details.
Lets start by taking a look at Safari web browser.

Using Safari

Safari is your go to app for browsing the internet. To launch Safari, tap on the Safari icon located on your dock.
This will launch Safari. Lets take a look at the main screen.
In Safariā€™s main screen, tap in the website address field to enter the websiteā€™s address, or Google search keyword.
Two menus to take note of. The first menu allows to share, bookmark or print a web page. The second menu opens your list of bookmarked websites, reading list, and browsing history.
The final icon on the right hand side or the bar, allows you to see all the tabs you currently have open. Swipe up and down to browse through the open tabs. Tap the tab you want to switch to.
Swipe right to left over the tab to close it. You can also tap the small x on the top left hand side of the tab.
Hit the + sign to add a new tab where you can open another website or Google search. Tap ā€˜privateā€™ to browse the web without Safari recording your browsing history. Tap ā€˜doneā€™ to return to Safariā€™s main screen.
