Der Leser wird über die Entwicklung dieser Verfahren ebenso informiert wie über die derzeit gängigen technischen Möglichkeiten und die eigentlichen Aufgaben des Übersetzers in den jeweiligen Arbeitsabläufen. Der didaktische Teil besteht einerseits aus Übungen, mit denen diese Aufgaben eingeübt werden können, andererseits aus Hinweisen zu aktuellen Forschungsfragen. Das Buch eignet sich sowohl zum Selbststudium als auch zum Einsatz im Unterricht.
