Inhalt und Reichweite des deutschen Grundgesetzes sind wesentlich geprĂ€gt durch die Entscheidungen des Bundesverfassungsgerichts. Ziel des Casebooks ist es vor diesem Hintergrund, Studierenden, aber auch allen anderen Interessierten, die Argumentationsweise des Gerichts anhand von ausgewĂ€hlten und systematisch aufbereiteten Originalpassagen aus zentralen Entscheidungen des Bundesverfassungsgerichts nĂ€her zu bringen. Gleichzeitig soll auf diese Weise ein Überblick ĂŒber die GrundzĂŒge des deutschen Verfassungsrechts vermittelt werden. FĂŒr die Neuauflage wurde das Werk umfassend aktualisiert. Die seit 2015 ergangenen Senats- und Kammerentscheidungen des Bundesverfassungsgerichts wurden sorgfĂ€ltig gesichtet und eingearbeitet. Außerdem wurden mehrere Abschnitte des Casebooks neu gefasst und einige Ă€ltere Passagen gestrichen. Eingegangen in die neue Auflage sind ferner einige Änderungen, die im Rahmen der englischen Übersetzung vorgenommen wurden. Im Jahre 2019 ist das Buch unter dem Titel "German Constitutional Law. Introduction, Cases, and Principles" bei Oxford University Press erschienen.
